5 Signs It's Time to Sell Your Motorcycle

Many motorcycle owners eventually contemplate selling their current bike and upgrading to a new one. This usually happens when their existing motorcycle becomes too aged for daily city riding, requires high maintenance costs, offers subpar mileage, among other factors. Regardless of the rationale, be prepared if you've opted to sell your motorcycle. When selling your motorcycle to a dependable prospective buyer, you should consider certain aspects.

Appropriate Time for Change

There's truly no comparison to the sensation of steering a brand-new motorcycle.

Since you became the owner of your current bike, an array of new models and designs will have made their debut on the market. Perhaps it's time to explore these fresh options.

Additionally, reflect on if your present motorcycle still suits your requirements. Are you searching for a speedier vehicle or a touring bike for extended trips? Or are you contemplating shifting to an electric motorcycle? If any of these questions resonate with you, then it might be an opportune moment to ponder over selling your existing motorbike.

Mileage isn't the only determinant in the sale of a used bike. If your goal is to sell your current bike to aid in financing a newer model, the mileage must be considered. The reality is that bikes with higher mileage tend to fetch lower prices than those of similar make and features but with less mileage.

When your bike starts clocking up considerable miles, it could be beneficial to sell it before repair costs become exorbitant or its market value starts to decline. Don't forget that regular maintenance of your bike ensures it stays in excellent condition for when you decide to sell.

Frequent Repairs

Your motorcycle value can change as the years pass. Once you cross the ten-year threshold of owning a bike, keeping it in good shape can become quite a task. If regular trips to the mechanic have become a norm or if your bike is lagging in modern features, it could be a signal to sell your motorcycle. Selling your old ride allows you to bring home a new one, setting the stage for more memorable moments.

Motorcycle Speed

It might feel less than ideal if you've been riding your initial motorcycle for a considerable time. Over time, you may find that your first bike doesn't offer the speed you crave, signaling the need for an upgrade.

Conversely, you may find yourself in a different scenario. Perhaps you own a high-velocity motorcycle, and, while you've relished its speed, you now desire something a bit slower for safety or personal preference reasons. The choice is entirely yours. If your motorcycle no longer matches your speed requirements, it's an indication that it might be time to part ways with it.

You’re Not Riding

If your motorcycle is often parked in the garage rather than cruising on the road, putting it up for sale might be advantageous. Unless you have distinct plans for your motorcycle or are merely pausing from riding temporarily, disposing of it could be an optimal decision. Selling your motorcycle would also mean cutting off some of the recurring expenses of owning one, such as insurance premiums and repair costs.

Having gained insight into what influences the value of your motorbike, isn't it time to discover its current worth? You can easily find out by filling out an online valuation form for an immediate estimate. Simply input your motorbike's registration number and mileage to initiate the process.

Yes & No. We sell a wide range of pants which DO have protective knee and hip pads and are suitable for motorcycle riding AND we also sell biker style jeans and pants which, although are all made of durable tough material are not certified for safety and do not have the protective padding needed in case you do get a little too throttle heavy and lay your bike down (we have all been there and done that!). Please check each product and contact us if you have any questions on this.

Since we offer a wide range from various manufacturers, they all have their own sizing per brand. However there is a sizing chart on each product page, look for the tab just above the description or the size chart link on the right side, or email us and we can recommend the size for you.

PLEASE NOTE : the size charts are taken directly from the manufacturer and the length is incorrect on some, the length is generally a standard length based on the waist size (waist size is correct on all size charts).
