Prevent Common Motorcycle Accidents With These Simple Tips

Motorcycle accidents can be very serious, often resulting in fatalities or serious injuries. In order to help prevent these accidents, it is important to know what the most common causes are and take steps to avoid them. In this blog post, we will discuss some of the most common causes of motorcycle accidents and provide you with simple tips that can help you stay safe on the road.

Speeding

One of the most common causes of motorcycle accidents is speeding. When you are speeding, you are much more likely to lose control of your bike and crash. Additionally, if you are involved in an accident while speeding, the injuries that you sustain are likely to be much more severe.

If you want to stay safe on the road, it is important to always obey the speed limit and never ride your motorcycle faster than you are comfortable with. Also, be sure to take into account the road conditions and weather when you are deciding how fast to go.

Not Training Enough

Many motorcycle accidents are caused by riders who have not had enough training. Motorcycles can be difficult to operate, and it takes time and practice to learn how to ride them safely. If you are new to riding, it is important to take a safety course so that you can learn the basics of operating a motorcycle. The MTS motorbike training program is a great option for those who want to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to ride safely on the road. Additionally, it is important to practice frequently so that you can become more comfortable and confident on your bike. The more experience you have, the less likely you are to be involved in an accident.

Riding Under the Influence

Another common cause of motorcycle accidents is riding under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Just like with speeding, riding while intoxicated makes it much more likely that you will crash your bike.

Additionally, it is illegal to ride a motorcycle while under the influence in most states. If you are caught riding while intoxicated, you could face serious penalties, including jail time.

If you want to stay safe on the road, it is important to never ride your motorcycle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Also, if you are in Riverside and got involved in an accident, make sure you speak to a Riverside Motorcycle Accident Lawyer because you will have a much higher chance of getting compensated for your injuries. Additionally, you could get your license suspended if you are caught riding while intoxicated.

Careless Driving

Careless driving is another common cause of motorcycle accidents. When drivers are careless, they often fail to see motorcycles on the road or to yield the right of way to them. This can lead to serious accidents. If you want to stay safe on the road, it is important to always be aware of your surroundings and to make sure that you are visible to other drivers. Additionally, be sure to yield the right of way to other vehicles, even if you think that they may not see you. This also means that you shouldn’t ride in between cars, as this can increase your chances of being involved in an accident.

Poor Road Conditions

Poor road conditions are another common cause of motorcycle accidents. When roads are in poor condition, it can be difficult to control your motorcycle, and you may be more likely to crash. Additionally, potholes and other obstacles can cause serious damage to your bike or even result in a flat tire. If you want to stay safe on the road, it is important to be aware of any potential hazards and to avoid riding on roads that are in poor condition. In addition, be sure to inspect your motorcycle regularly to make sure that it is in good working condition and that the tires are properly inflated.

Distracted Driving

Distracted driving is another common cause of motorcycle accidents. When drivers are distracted, they often fail to see motorcycles on the road. Additionally, distracted driving can lead to careless or aggressive driving, which can also result in serious accidents. If you want to stay safe on the road, it is important to never drive while distracted. This means that you should avoid activities such as talking on the phone, texting, or eating while you are driving. Additionally, be sure to pay attention to your surroundings and to always be aware of other vehicles on the road.

Not Wearing a Helmet

One of the most common causes of motorcycle accidents is not wearing a helmet. In most states, it is required by law that motorcycle riders wear helmets when they are on the road. Additionally, helmets can protect you from serious injuries in the event of an accident. If you want to stay safe on the road, it is important to always wear a helmet when you are riding your motorcycle. Additionally, be sure to wear other protective gear, such as gloves, long pants, and sturdy boots. This will help to protect you from serious injuries if you are involved in an accident. This step is important as motorcycle accident lawyers see many clients who could have prevented their injuries by wearing proper safety gear.

Not Inspecting Their Motorcycles

Another common cause of motorcycle accidents is not inspecting their motorcycles. Before each ride, it’s important to give your bike a quick once-over to make sure that everything is in working order. This includes checking the tires, the brakes, the lights, and the mirrors. Additionally, be sure to listen for any strange noises that may indicate that something is wrong with your bike. If you find anything that doesn’t seem right, it’s important to have it fixed before you hit the road. By taking the time to inspect your motorcycle, you can help to prevent serious accidents and injuries.

Additionally, it is important to practice frequently so that you can become more comfortable and confident on your bike. The more experience you have, the less likely you are to be involved in an accident.

By following these simple tips, you can help to prevent common motorcycle accidents. However, even if you take all of the necessary precautions, accidents can still happen. If you or someone you know has been involved in a motorcycle accident, it is important to contact an experienced motorcycle accident lawyer. An attorney can help you to understand your legal rights and options and can fight for the compensation that you deserve.

Yes & No. We sell a wide range of pants which DO have protective knee and hip pads and are suitable for motorcycle riding AND we also sell biker style jeans and pants which, although are all made of durable tough material are not certified for safety and do not have the protective padding needed in case you do get a little too throttle heavy and lay your bike down (we have all been there and done that!). Please check each product and contact us if you have any questions on this.

Since we offer a wide range from various manufacturers, they all have their own sizing per brand. However there is a sizing chart on each product page, look for the tab just above the description or the size chart link on the right side, or email us and we can recommend the size for you.

PLEASE NOTE : the size charts are taken directly from the manufacturer and the length is incorrect on some, the length is generally a standard length based on the waist size (waist size is correct on all size charts).

Typically the standard FREE shipping (which has full online track and trace) takes anywhere from 7 to 40 days, depending on your country. We also offer an expedited shipping service for a low fee of $4.95. Please see the shipping page for more detailed info.
